		<description>Nicole raises a good point above about flourishing in Maine. I always thought it was interesting that Tom's thrived in Maine while Burt's Bees (also founded in Maine) fled. I'd bet there's a good case study story in there somewhere!</description>

		<description>I've been a fan of Tom's of Maine for quite a few years now.  There's something about companies that live their values...they really do deliver the results.  Matter of fact, I know of another company in Maine that has a slogan along those lines.  Must be a Maine thing.</description>

		<description>Toms of Maine is fabulous. First of all, they are making business work in a place that is not business-friendly (the great but heavily taxed state of Maine). Second, they were environmental long before it was cool. I buy only their toothpaste! Way to give them props!</description>
